Abstract Comprehensive geological, hydrogeological and hydrogeochemical investigations were carried out in the south of Hodh El Chargui (southeast Mauritania). Obtaining a hydrogeological conceptual model is crucial for groundwater resources development and management. This is especially true in developing countries and in the rural areas of sub-Saharan Africa. The chosen areas are represented by lithologies referring to a long geological time frame, dating from the Upper Neoproterozoic to the Quaternary age. We developed a methodology in order to identify sites that were suitable for the realization of productive, protected and correct wells to supply safe water to the rural community. A multicriteria approach to studying hydrogeology was used in the project area. In order to identify some main areas in which to carry out pilot interventions, criteria relating to water accessibility and availability, and to hydrogeological and water quality, were considered. AbstractData unavailability is the main reason for limited applications of hydrodynamic models for predicting inundation in the developing world. This paper aims to generate moderately high-resolution hybrid terrain data by merging height information from low-cost Indian Remote Sensing satellite (IRS) Cartosat-1 stereo satellite images, freely-available Shuttle Radar Topograph Mission (SRTM) digital elevation model (DEM) data, and limited surveyed channel cross-sections. The study reach is characterized by anabranching channels that are associated with channel bifurcation, loops and river islands. We compared the performance of a simple 1D–2D coupled LISFLOOD-FP model and a complex fully 2D finite element TELEMAC-2D model with the hybrid terrain data. The results show that TELEMAC-2D produced significantly improved simulated inundation with the hybrid terrain data, as compared to the SRTM DEM. LISFLOOD-FP was found unsuitable to work with the hybrid DEM in a complicated fluvial environment, as it failed to efficiently divert water in the branches from the main channel.

梳理发展研究和现代地理学的思想与学术轨迹,将发展地理学的发展历程划分为学术思想萌芽期（18~19世纪启蒙运动到20世纪60年代末）、学术思想探索期（20世纪70年代初到90年代末）、学科建设期（21世纪初至今）3个阶段,各阶段特征都集中体现其学术领域的“欠发达”“发展中”“落后”国家和地区以及全球发展的研究主题与学科内涵。基于发展认识论、发展方法论和发展价值观,发展地理学的理论基础主要包括全球发展论、二元性和中心-边缘论、可持续发展理论和人类命运共同体思想等。在元问题的层面,采用在线词云工具提炼出发展地理学主要的研究内容包括发展的发展,殖民、不平等与发展,贫困、生计与发展,商品、贸易与发展,环境与发展等。展望未来,发展中国家和新兴市场2030年可持续发展目标、新型全球化和全球治理的国别差异与区域差异将成为发展地理学联合攻关和综合创新的重点领域;发展地理学的学科建设和人才培养要重视本土化和国际化。 相似文献

全球贫困国家旅游竞争力与经济发展的耦合协调度及时空变化 总被引：1，自引：1，他引：0
基于联合国多维贫困指数、世界经济论坛旅游竞争力报告及国际货币基金组织提供的贫困国家经济数据,构建了旅游竞争力与经济发展评价指标体系,通过信息熵值法确定指标权重,再运用耦合协调度模型测度2008-2017年间贫困国家旅游竞争力与经济发展之间的耦合协调度,研究其时空演变规律及成因机制。研究发现：①贫困国家旅游竞争力与经济发展的的耦合协调现状不容乐观,基本都处于失调或接近失调状态,但从时间发展来看,有向协调方向缓慢发展的趋势,且耦合协调度的区域差异正在缓慢缩小;②从耦合协调类型上看,大部分贫困国家为经济滞后型,其余为旅游—经济同步型,尚无旅游滞后型;③贫困国家旅游竞争力与经济发展的耦合协调度等级分布呈现较明显的空间集聚特征,非洲地区耦合协调度等级相对最低,南美洲及加勒比地区耦合协调状态相对较好,东南亚地区则呈现局部异质性。 相似文献

This paper introduces a collection of case studies aimed at “Placing Splintering Urbanism”, in reference to the thesis developed by Graham and Marvin [Graham, S., Marvin, S., 2001. Splintering Urbanism. Networked Infractructures, Technoloical Moblilities and the Urban condition. Routledge, London]. Whilst acknowledging the value of the thesis as an analytical framework in opening the way to innovative understandings of contemporary urban dynamics, the paper argues that, taken together, the articles in this themed issue seriously challenge the “splintering urbanism” thesis theoretically, empirically and methodologically. They question in particular the postulated universality of the “modern infrastructural ideal” and of “unbundling” and “bypass” processes — all of which are key elements in Graham and Marvin’s argument — as well as the assertion that reforms in infrastructure sectors should generally result in more discriminatory, socially regressive patterns of provision of essential services and more splintered urban spaces. Based on these fundamental critiques, the paper concludes that one cannot speak of “splintering urbanism in general” — i.e., as a global trend — in any meaningful analytical way. 相似文献

西方办公活动区位研究始于20世纪20年代，是地理学关于生产性服务业区位研究中相对成熟的重要领域。本文以时间为线索，将办公区位研究的进程划分为萌芽阶段、拓展阶段、系统化阶段和成熟阶段；并归纳了各个阶段的主要研究内容．研究角度及不同流派的办公区位理论的发展。研究发现，西方早期办公活动区位呈现强烈的中心性倾向，进入后工业时代以来，受信息技术的影响，办公活动区位出现了郊区化和非CBD倾向。最后总结了西方办公活动区位研究存在的一些问题，如统计数据的限制、理论体系不成熟、城市内部尺度研究不足及信息技术影响下办公活动区位研究不深入等问题，并展望了未来研究的发展趋势。 相似文献

In this paper, benefits from increasing cross-border cooperation under future CO2 commitments in the Nordic countries are examined and evaluated. Four cooperative strategies are analyzed and valued separately: cross-border electricity trade, cross-border emission-permit trade, the introduction of a trans-Nordic natural gas transmission grid, and, finally, utilization of all these three strategies simultaneously. The valuation is done under varying CO2 commitments and under three different scenarios for future energy demand and technological development. In conducting this analysis, the energy-systems model-generator MARKAL (MARKet ALlocation) was used to model the Nordic energy system. It is shown that all cooperative strategies do lower the abatement costs considerably, especially if the strategy including full cooperation is utilized. In this case, additional costs from meeting CO2 targets may be at least halved for commitments less than 10% reduction until 2050 based on emissions in 1995. No significant difference between low and high CO2 commitments could be observed in the size of the benefits from cooperation, expressed in billions (109) of Swedish crowns. Benefits from cooperation are generally larger for scenarios including relatively higher future energy demand. 相似文献
